As an artist, I focus on the observer and participant. I have recently fabricated larger installations that are participatory and immersive. However, during these times of limited interaction I am working towards artistic collaboration in different mediums such as letter exchange and conversation. The art room is a place that should instill creative thinking both inside and outside the classroom. As a teacher, I hope to promote a safe environment where students feel comfortable expressing their ideas. I encourage using alternative materials and techniques to push the boundaries of traditional art making.
