Lesson #1: 2nd Grade: End of the Rainbow
Students are to learn about the correct order and colors of a rainbow. Once this is completely, students will think creatively ideas by adding something they would go to the end of the rainbow for, what their "pot of gold" at the end of the rainbow is. This lesson teaches color, science, and creativity for young minds to think limitlessly.
Lesson #2: 2nd Grade: Everything Spring!
Students shared some of their favorite things about spring while also learning about the many things that happen during this time of year. Students picked what their favorite parts of spring are and learned how to draw things such as flowers, animals, eggs, and more using simple shapes and colors. Students learned to think creatively and personally in an artistic manner.
Lesson #3: 3rd/4th Grades: Tie Dye
Students learned about the history of tie dye in the United States. They learned how to pick and draw different tie dye patterns from a traditional spiral design to radial shapes. This lesson taught students how to make traditional art in a nontraditional way as well as working unrestrictedly as this was a process focused lesson.
Lesson #4: 7th/8th Grades: Looking Through the Window
This lesson plan revolved around taking and editing photographs while thinking critically and artistically. Students are to have 4 images: a small portrait, and images that represent themselves in the past, present, and future. Using simple applications and artistic thinking, students will create a photo composition that is unique and defines themselves. This lesson is still being taught so submissions are just works in progress.
