Ever since elementary school, I found a genuine connection with art. From a very young age in art class, I discovered it as a means to express myself. My parents believed in my passion for art and were committed to expanding it. They took me to art lessons at the YMCA, provided me with art supplies, and more. As I entered my teenage years, art evolved into more than just a hobby; it became a dedicated time for me to create and indulge in my artistic pursuits. During high school, I opted not to take formal art classes, as they were primarily designed for individuals intending to pursue art as a college major. At that point, I wasn't entirely certain about my future major, but I was sure it needed to involve art, children, and psychology. Which led me to Art therapy, which gives me the best of both worlds. Using art is a useful tool that heals the mind, body, and soul. In addition, will expand my intent to continue my journey in the arts. In my artwork, I predominantly explore extrospective themes, focusing on capturing the intricacies of human faces and bodies. Even when my work ventures beyond portraiture, it remains rooted in the realm of still life, providing a canvas for my imagination to flourish. When I'm not creating portraiture, my artwork is still life-based. It spans a diverse spectrum, portraying fantastical realms featuring space, skeletons, and various water-inspired ideals. In its entirety, my art brings me immense joy through the act of drawing, celebrating the simplicity of pencil and paper as tools to convey the depth and essence of my subjects. There is a unique satisfaction in distilling the essence of a person onto a blank page—a process that brings me unparalleled happiness and fulfillment.

Art Therapy ‘23

Born with the natural inclination to make art. From elementary school to college senior year. I always loved portraying people with any medium, especially portrait. On the other hand, I make these fantasized worlds and images I've created in my head. Art is a space that allows me to show my creativity and look at the little details in the personas I create. I have a love for creating narratives stemming from different perspectives. Within my artistic palette, I harbor a deep affection for bold coloring, manifesting in highly saturated hues of blue, green, and pink. Yet, I equally find beauty in the stark contrast of black and white, creating pieces that evoke a different kind of intensity and emotion. I Hope you enjoy embarking on my artist journey, as every brush stroke, color selection, and mark-making is a part of my creative process and expression. Your engagement is cherished, and I hope you find joy in the narratives I bring to life on canvas.
