Hi everyone, I am Ms. Henderson! From September to December I have had the privilege of student teaching at Potter-Thomas Elementary School, under the guidance of Mrs. DiRubbo. The students of Potter-Thomas eagerly welcomed me into their virtual learning environment and gave me the opportunity to get to know them. During my time at Potter-Thomas, I learned the importance of making meaningful connections and relationships with students and in doing so created a foundation for a supportive learning environment.
Given the circumstances and limitations of virtual learning, the students of Potter-Thomas have been creating all of their artwork digitally! Creating artwork completely digitally has been a learning experience for both the students and myself. I have seen students overcome the many difficulties and frustrations of trying to make art on the computer and have seen them rise to the challenge and create amazing works of art! I am so proud of the students, their creativity, and their resiliency.
