Halo Lahnert is seeking. Much like a dog chasing its tail leaves tracks in the dirt, so Halo leaves work in the form of papier mache, drawing, and garments in their wake as they attempt to cross again and again the dark space of unknowing between non-belief and belief. Their work has been shown at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art, the American Mountaineering Museum, and the Da Vinci Art Alliance, among others. Their work has also been published in Floromancy, ANMLY, and Emergency Index. Working in the intersection of art and anthropology, Halo has been a Mellon Foundation grant recipient and a 2020-2021 Luce Scholar based in Taiwan.
