Germantown Avenue Tour

The Germantown Avenue Tour includes 11 sites starting at Asociacion Puertorriquenos Field Office at 6th and Diamond where you can pick-up a tour brochure. A sample of notable iconic places on the tour include the Diamond Theater and the site of the Quaker Chocolate Factory, where Good & Plenty candies were made.

The gallery highlights the posters that the students created for placement along the tour route at each of these sites.  Upon reaching a tour site, in addition to reading the historic description on the poster, ‘explorers’ can use the QR codes on each poster to access additional information about the site on the tour’s website.

The website also provides audio clips of residents’ stories about the neighborhood.
