**Bio:** Samantha McGeehan is an Art Educator living and working in Philadelphia, originally from Pittsburgh, PA. She enjoys working with all ages of students, and loves exploring new concepts, processes, and materials, in her classes.

**Philosophy:** Play and exploration are at the core of my teaching philosophy. It is my goal to activate the knowledge students bring with them to class, and to empower individuals to develop versatile problem solving skills. Cultivating an inclusive and safe environment for students to create allows them to collaborate with others, and equips them with confidence needed to embrace new materials and concepts. These foundational skills bolster students to challenge themselves throughout the lifelong journey of learning and growing. Through active listening and connecting with students on their level, I’m continuously working to improve my own teaching practice.
